How to Lose Your Love Handles
They may sound sweet, but love handles are far from being sexy. This is the term used to refer to that flabby part found on the sides of your abdomen that you seem to have difficulty getting rid of, no matter how many crunches you do in a day. Unfortunately, the love handles or the obliques are the most neglected part when it comes to working out your abs muscles. We often focus too much on making our tummies look flat that we fail to realize the bulging fat on the sides of our abdomen. However, don't lose hope, because even stubborn love handles can disappear with a few fitness tricks. All you need to do is focus on three things-diets, exercise, and sleep-and you are sure to lose those not so lovely love handles for good. When it comes to diet, you need to avoid all those fatty foods that largely contribute to the fatty deposits found in your love handles. Cut down on the sugar, fast food, and oily foods that may seem too irresistible at first. As you progress on your diet plan, you will realize that your cravings will start to lessen, while at the same time your love handles start to disappear. You also need to drink plenty of water, about 8-10 glasses each day. Doing abdominal exercises are obviously important in order for you to say goodbye to your love handles. Some exercises focusing on the love handles include leg flutters, twist crunches, and standing trunk twists. Don't forget your cardio exercises, as well as weight-bearing exercises. The importance of getting enough rest and sleep cannot be stressed enough. Be sure to catch at least 7 hours of sleep every night so as to develop more muscle mass and burn off calories and fat, which the body does during moments of sleep and relaxation. But ultimately, you need to have the willpower to succeed. Without discipline, you won't be able to do these lifestyle changes and you won't lose your love handles. |
